The server is located in and subject to the laws of the United States. It stores message archives, both encrypted and plain text if a user doesn't care to enable encryption. It stores users contacts. As site admin, I can see who you know.

moonchat.space is not social media. People you don't know cannot discover who your contacts are. There is not now, and never will be code to suggest new contacts based on your contacts' other contacts.

moonchat.space is antisocial media, and so it will remain.
